2005 Ecorse Good Neighbor Day

More than thirty volunteers worked on the Wayne-Metro Good Neighbor Day Team.
On June 18, 2005 State Senator Raymond Basham and the City of Ecorse welcomed Wayne-Metro staff along with their family and friend so participate in a community initiative called Good Neighbor Day. Similar to Paint the Town, this project brought volunteers together to paint the home of a low-income resident of Ecorse.
Many partners were on board including Wayne County Community College, National Steel, Praxair, BASF, the police and fire departments, the local UAW, State Farm Insurance and many others.
