Homeless Programs

Social Security Administrations Project HOPE

Wayne-Metro's Project HOPE (Homeless Outreach Program Evaluation) grant is one of only thirty-four demonstration projects in the nation to be funded by the Social Security Administration. The program is designed to assist chronically homeless individuals gain access to Social Security benefits and may expedite the SSA process for those eligible for Project HOPE services.

A Project HOPE case manager works with multiple agencies to provide outreach, supportive services, transportation, shelter and housing to Project HOPE participants.
